Janice Ann Seacat, 77, of Tulsa, passed away on July 22nd, 2020 at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Tulsa, OK on November 15th, 1942. Janice graduated from Tulsa Central High School in 1960. She spent many childhood years enjoying time with her parents, sister and brothers, grandparents and many cousins and friends. On November 22nd, 1962, she married the love of her life, Joseph L. Seacat in Tulsa, OK. They were married 53 years until Joe's passing in 2015.
While raising 3 children; which she considered a career in itself, Janice was an interior designer and a gifted artist. Her paintings are treasured and will be for years to come.
Janice and Joe were able to take many incredible trips all over the world from Ireland to Curaco to New Zealand and more. They loved being together with family and friends whether it be golfing at The Indian Springs Country Club, annual summer vacations with their Table Rock Lake group, the spring break ski trips, their annual Hot Springs trips, or the many years spent at Grand Lake, those were the most precious times to Janice and Joe.
Janice loved the Lord and was member of Boston Avenue United Methodist Church. She was involved in many social activities; women's bridge, couples bridge, bible studies, women's luncheons and more. Janice was an excellent homemaker; she loved and took pride in raising her children and making her homes beautiful. She also enjoyed entertaining, reading, movies, and traveling. She adored her grandchildren and the times spent with them.
She is survived by her mother, Harriette Isley; sister, Juanita (Tom) Roberts; brother, Jim (Charlene) Isley; children, Sheryl (Michael) West, Harry (Kendra) Seacat II, and Cynthia Seacat Busha. She was Mimi to 8 grandchildren Megan (Daniel) Bradshaw, Matthew West, David West, Joesph Seacat II, Ryan Seacat, Jack Seacat, Leah Busha and Daniel Busha. Janice was also a great-grand mother to Adam and Emma Bradshaw.
She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Her family will forever miss Janice but she and Joe will live on in the kindness they showed, the comfort they shared and love they brought into their lives.
Following the service will be a celebration of her life at their home, 7320 S. Gary Ave.
