In 1920, they are living in Baron, Adair County, Oklahoma. In 1930, they are still in Baron. On Martha Janie's page in Roberts Funeral Home records, her name is listed as Janie Simmons Mann at the time of her death. Her father is listed as Harrison Waters, mother; Mallisan (Coffee) Waters. Both were born in GA.
Martha Jane "Janie" Simmons Mann, 92, of Tulsa, OK, died on Wednesday, June 18, 1975, at her residence in Town Hall Nursing Home, Tulsa, OK. She was pronounced at St. Francis Hospital, Tulsa, OK. She was born in Georgia, on Saturday, October 14, 1882, to Harrison Waters and Mallisan (Coffee) Waters. She married Walter Edgar Simmons, in 1903, and he predeceased her in death. She must have remarried someone with the last name of Mann. She was predeceased in death by her parents; and her first husband, Walter Edgar Simmons;; son, Forest Edgar Simmons of Denver, CO; and daughter, Mrs. Alva B. "Golda" (Simmons) Collyge of Silver City, NM. She is survived by 3 daughters, Wanda Bartlett and Violene Christine Simmons, both of Tulsa, OK, and Marjorie Jane (Simmons) Reeder of Plano, TX.
Service was Friday, June 20, 1975, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home, 5119 S. Williams St., Westville, OK.
