Jean Covey died August 24, 2020 at Bickford Senior Living Facility in Aurora, Illinois at the age of 97. Her husband, Jack Edmund Covey, pre-deceased her in 2015 after 73 years of marriage. They both had been life-long Tulsans and long-time members of Yale Avenue Christian Church.

She is survived by her son Robert E Covey and daughter-in-law Doris Covey of Sugar Grove, Illinois and her daughter Carol Foster and son-in-law Robert L Foster of Pensacola, Florida. She is also survived by four grandsons - James D (Loretta) Fellers of Texas, Thomas L (Randi) Stuart of Utah, Robert A (Katie) Stuart of Oregon, Brian E (Megan) Covey of Illinois - one granddaughter, Jennifer C Covey of Tulsa, and seven great-grandchildren. Survivors also include her nephew Jack Pasley of Georgia and niece-in-law Bonnie (Chuck) Harter of Tulsa.

Elsie Jean Lang was born October 11, 1922 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Harold Alexander Lang and Lena Leota Koons Lang. She was pre-deceased by her parents, her sister Dorothy Pasley, her niece JoAnn Stone and her brother Lt. Harold A. Lang, Jr.

A talented seamstress with a fun sense of humor was loved by her family and will be greatly missed.
