Jeanne Brosius-Smith was born to Harold John Brosius and Lillian Naomi Lenz Brosius on February 4th, 1934 in Reno County, KS. Jeanne passed away March 8, 2018. After High School she moved to California where she met Clarence William Smith (Bill) who was in the military. They were married on February 4th, 1952 and had two children; David and Cynthia. In Pratt, KS, Jeanne began selling Avon. After a divorce she raised her two children in Pryor, OK as an Avon District Sales Manager. She transferred to Tulsa where she met the love of her life, Cecil Smith and they were married on October 29, 1977. Together they raised two additional children; Connie and Craig.
Jeanne retired as an Avon District Sales Manager and Cecil worked for IBM. They moved from Tulsa to Lewisville, TX., and eventually moved back to Tulsa.
They became members of the Boston Avenue United Methodist Church where Jeanne was the President of the United Methodist Women. Her passion was helping people and she was always active in missions with the Church, Cookson Hills Center, Exodus House prison ministry, Project Transformation along with many other volunteer organizations. The perfect example of a leader, Jeanne was always organized, focused and in charge of making sure things got done properly for the greater good.
Proceeding Jeanne in death are her parents: Harold and Lillian Brosius, brothers Jimmy, Jack and Dick Brosius. Sister Joan Crisafi and infant daughter Angela Smith.
Jeanne is survived by her husband: Cecil Smith of Tulsa, OK., her children David Smith and wife Pam of Grain Valley, MO., Cynthia Melton and husband Rick of Tulsa, OK., Craig Smith of NV, and Connie Jagolinzer and husband Alan of Cambridge, UK. She also leaves to cherish her memory her grandchildren: April Martin (Zack), Samuel Melton (Holly), Ian Smith (Kristen), Tyler Smith (Amanda), Megan Jagolinzer, Taylor Jagolinzer, Ryan Jagolinzer, Andy Bellemere (Courtney), Amanda Bellemere-Johnson (Chris),12 great grandchildren and her surviving brothers and sisters: Virginia Lail, Joyce Nusser, Shirley Andsager, Bill Brosius, John Brosius and Tom Brosius.
