Jeanne Safavi, 89, of Tulsa, OK, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2022. She was born on June 7, 1933, in the Bronx, NY to Sigmund & Amelia (Munziale) Latarski. Upon graduation from high school, Jeanne went to work at St. Francis Hospital in the Admissions Department where she eventually met her future husband, Bahaeddin Safavi, M.D. They married in the Bronx on October 09, 1952 & were married for 50 years. Jeanne loved her faith, cooking, baking, singing, dancing & being a wife & mother. Saying she was devoted, is putting it mildly. She also loved her dogs & grandcats immensely. She was very proud of herself for taking two college classes when she was in her late 40's, but did say that was enough for her. Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents & husband. She is survived by her daughter Leila, of Tulsa, her son Michael, of Arlington, VA, her brother Sigmund Latarski and his wife Madeline, of Bardonia, NY, her sister Lorraine Wilhelm of Whiting, NJ and 5 nieces & nephews.
