Jeffery (Jeff) Wayne James passed away Saturday, February 2nd after a prolonged illness.
Jeff was born on January 28th, 1963 in Butler, Missouri. He was a graduate of Broken Arrow High School in 1981 and attended Oklahoma State University. Jeff then spent his career at SBS Industries, retired in 2006.
Jeff is survived by wife, Shian James, whom he wed on November 5, 1994 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He is also survived by son, Keaton James; step-sons, Phillip Morrow and Garrett Morrow; father, Darwin James and wife, Linda; mother-in-law, Virginia Stough; grandmother, Mildred James; step-brother, Rob Brooks; step-sister, Chrystal Rutherford; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Jeff was proceeded in death by mother, Evva Harvey; step-father, Don Harvey; and step-sister, Christie Lynn Brooks.
Known as a loved and respected local musician and vocalist, Jeff has performed in the Tulsa area for many years. He volunteered his time and efforts recently playing benefit concerts and is known for always agreeing to support others in their time of need. Family and friends describe Jeff as a man of passion and full of love for his family, friends and his art. Jeff will always be known as " Triple J, Superman and Sweetheart".
Arrangements are with Moore's Funeral Home 51st and Mingo in Tulsa. Viewing is scheduled 6:00 to 8:00 on Wednesday, February 6th with Memorial Services being held on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at 1:00 pm, at New Haven Methodist Church, 5603 S. New Haven, Tulsa, OK. Graveside Services will be at Calvary Cemetery with a reception to follow.
