Jeffrey Hunter Moore was born on July 18, 1959 at Ft Sam Houston, Texas
to parents Homer P Moore Jr and Darlene Moore while Homer was stationed
at Randolph Air Force base. The family moved around the country as the
services required and eventually settled in Tulsa, Oklahoma where Jeff
attended and graduated from East Central High School. Jeff joined the
Marines in 1983. He served in the Marine reserves at Broken Arrow, OK
until discharged in 1984. Jeff worked as a machinist at FlightSafety
Intl until medical issues forced an early retirement.
Jeff loved to shoot guns and was very into muzzle loaders/black powder
and fiddle with all things mechanical. He was quite skilled at
manufacturing things from scratch. He loved to hunt and fish. He was
also a member at the Sheridan Christian Center. The onset of bipolar
disorder and later Multiple Sclerosis made Jeff's later life difficult
but he faced it with a good sense of humor. He was always in contact
with his friends and family. He never forgot anyone's birthday and
always called or wrote on those special days. Jeffrey is survived by
his parents Homer and Darlene and brother Tim, his wife Kathy and
children Jon, Rebecca and Mary.
Memorial service will be 2:00 P.M., Monday, February 24, 2020 at Moore's Eastlawn Chapel, 1908 South Memorial Drive, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
