Obituary
Jennie Mae Simmons, 75, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 9, 1978 at Memorial City General Hospital in Houston, TX. She was born in Seymore, Indiana on May 2, 1903, to Oliver Elliott and Minnie Hancock Elliott. Jennie came to Tulsa, OK in 1910 and was married that year to the late Hugh Simmons, who died in 1960. She was a former long-time member of the Wheeling Avenue Christian Church. Jennie was active in Red Cross work in Tulsa, OK. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Jean Simmons Davis, who died in 1979, and her spouse, Robert E. Davis of Houston, TX; 2 grandchildren; 3 brothers, F. Glenn Elliott, Charles C. Elliott and Donald O. Elliott.
