Jennifer Hooks-Rodriguez was born May 15th, 1976 in Clinton, Iowa, and tragically lost her two year fight with her health on Friday, June 26th. Jennifer attended Nathan Hale High School. She worked for many years in customer relations for First Data, where she started at the age of 17, and left when they closed the Tulsa office. She then spent the next 12 years working for Community Care Insurance, and advancing into an auditor position before leaving due to medical reasons. She lived every moment of her life for her children and grandchildren. No one could ask for a better mother, daughter, sister and gram gram.
Jennifer had four kids that were the soul of her existence: Tyler Hooks, 26; Joshua Valdez, 21; Alexis Rodriguez, 14; Christian Rodriguez, 12; as well as her 4 grandchildren. She is also survived by her parents, Diane and John Hooks, and brother Jeffrey Hooks.
Jennifer was preceded in death by: her grandmother, Margaret Hooks of Dubuque, Iowa; grandfather, Gordon Hooks of Platteville, Wisconsin; uncle, William (Bill) Hooks of Dubuque, Iowa; and aunt, Nancy Sparks (Hooks) of Dubuque, Iowa.
There will be a viewing of Jennifer on Wednesday, July 1st from noon to 8 pm, and a visitation with the family from 6 to 8 pm. Jennifer's funeral service will be Thursday, July 2nd at 10am at Moore's Southlawn Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family as asked for donations for the care and education of her children.
