Jennifer Michelle Elliott McConnell, 52, of Tulsa, Oklahoma and McKinney, Texas, passed away on September 22, 2020 after a courageous battle with pneumonia and ovarian cancer.
Jennifer was born on May 14, 1968 to Marja and Larry Elliott in Tulsa, Oklahoma. After graduating from Memorial High School in 1986, Jennifer earned a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology/Criminal Justice and a Master's of Education degree from The University of North Texas. She earned an additional Master's degree in School Counseling from Amberton University and was working towards a certification in Applied Behavior Analysis.
Jennifer was a dedicated special education teacher in the Plano Independent School District for 18 years. She loved her kids and did everything imaginable to enrich their lives and help them to become self-sufficient and contributing members of society. She adored her children, Alexis and Jaden, and was the kind of mother who was also her children's best friend. She had a special place in her heart for the homeless and would take food, blankets and other necessities to homeless camps. She was a beautiful woman inside and out with a wonderful smile, huge heart and boundless energy. We will miss her deeply.
She is survived by her mother, Marja Elliott Willis, Tulsa, Oklahoma; her daughter, Alexandria McConnell, 26, of Dallas, Texas; and her son, Jaden Pera, 15, of McKinney, Texas. She is preceded in death by her brother, Jack Elliott, and her father, Larry Elliott. The family requests all flowers and notes be sent to Moore Southlawn Funeral Home, Tulsa, Oklahoma. There will be a funeral service at 2PM on October 1st, 2020 at Moore Southlawn Funeral Home in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
