Staton Jerald C. "Jerry" 75, loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather went to his heavenly home Wednesday, November 26, 2014.
Jerry was born January 14, 1939 in Tulsa, OK. to Edmon Leroy and Opal Staton. He was the younger of 2 children. Jerry served 8 years in the Air National Guard 138th Support Squadron. He married his wife of 50 years Linda Turner in 1964. Jerry retired after 32 years from Rockwell International as a manager of Tulsa Satellite computing center. Jerry loved sports especially baseball and softball which he played for a number of years. He coached youth baseball, softball and basketball over the years. He loved watching his favorite college and pro teams play but his favorite was watching and encouraging his kids and grandchildren when they played sports. He was preceded in death by his parent's, brother Ed Staton and his beloved dog Bailey. Survivors include his wife Linda, 3 children, Scott Staton, Kim Staton, Amy and Kevin Napier, 2 grandchildren Jessica and Zackery Napier, great granddaughter Gracie Napier and many nieces, nephews, cousins, sister in laws and brother in laws. He is loved dearly and will be forever missed and in our hearts. Visitation will be 5-7 P.M., Monday, December 1, 2014 at Moore's Southlawn. Service will be 1 PM, Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Skelly Drive Baptist Church.
