Jerry Edward Ryan, 83, of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed peacefully at home on January 29, 2026. He was born October 8, 1942 at Hillcrest Hospital to Edward Clinton Ryan and Ida Estelle Ryan. Jerry attended Sequoyah Elementary School and graduated from Will Rogers High School in the class of 1960. After high school, he attended Oklahoma State University. While attending OSU, he joined the Brotherhood of Sigma Nu where he met brothers for life.
Jerry graduated from OSU with a degree in Industrial Engineering, ultimately inspiring each of his children to obtain degrees in Engineering themselves. Following graduation he pursued masters courses in Business and Accounting.
After Jerry's junior year of college, he interned at Kentube in Tulsa, where he made such an impression on the owner that he was offered a full time job immediately. However, Jerry wanted to finish his degree, so he went back to Stillwater and condensed two semesters into one. After graduating, he came back to Kentube and thrived there, being promoted to President at the age of 28.
In the 1980's, he and his best friends and Sigma Nu fraternity brothers purchased Kentube, which evolved into Fintube. As CEO and Chairman of the Board, Jerry expanded Fintube with plants in Pryor, Sand Springs, Canada and Mexico, and licensees in Belgium, Italy, France, Japan, China, Taiwan and India. Jerry was constantly improving and innovating Fintube products and traveling to his many locations, right up to his decision to sell the company which closed on December 31, 1999.
Anyone who knew Jerry also knew him to be a car enthusiast who several times worked with dealerships in order to be the first Oklahoman to own a given sports car at its debut.
In July 2012, he married his best friend and love of his life, Robin Wooster Ryan. They made Tulsa their primary residence, but their hearts were often at their home in Exuma.
Jerry leaves behind his wife, Robin, his children Tracie Jerd (Mark), Andrew Ryan (Whitney), and Sloane Ryan Lile; his step-children Madison Richardson (Christopher)Cameron Wooster (Kacey), Brandon Wooster (Kaitlyn); and seventeen grandchildren.
