Jess A Clemmons was born in Tulsa, OK on January 20, 1920 to parents Florence and Jesse Clemmons. He graduated from Tulsa Central 1939. From there, he attended A&M College in Stillwater where he met his future to be bride, Norma Ruth Clemmons. Due to WWII, the draft was nearing so he and his friends went to Buffalo, NY at a airplane factory awaiting their number. In the meantime, they moved down to Toledo, OH in another airplane factory. Norma Ruth Clemmons joined them and also went to work there. Jess Clemmons and Norma Ruth Dolen were married there Feb. 4, 1943. He was drafted a year later and was sent to the Japanese Theater for two years. Our blessed Father left us November 3 at age 93. He was tired and unable to function without help from others. He just didn't want to be burden to those that cared for him. We are sorry to see him leave but truly understand. He was a loving father to three girls, Karla Agnew and husband Mike Agnew, Patti Brown and husband Bill Brown, and Becky Clemmons whom we lost in 1986. He has 5 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and two step great-grand children which he dearly loved very much; one niece, Donna Reed; two nephews, Ronnie Hutchings and BeeBee Hutchings. We are deeply saddened and miss him very much. Service will be 10:00 A.M., Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel.
