Mr. Jessie B. Scott was born May 26, 1946, to the parents Sam B. Scott Sr. and Velma Carter Scott in Marvell, Arkansas.

He confessed his belief in Christ and joined Mt. Olive Baptist Church at an early age. Where he remained until he enlisted in the United States Army in 1967, fought in the Vietnam War and was discharged in 1969 with honors.

Returning home from service Jessie moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma and set roots and united in matrimony with Lena Mahone on October 27,1970. To this union, one child (Jennifer) was born.

On Sunday February 25, 2024, at home peacefully in his sleep, Jessie B. Scott departed this earthly life, transitioning from mortality into eternity. His parents, two brothers, (Sam B. Scott, Jr. and Paul L. Scott) two sisters, (Luethel Scott Bell and Johnnie Lee Scott), his mother in spirit Ms. Ada Annie Bell Fields, all preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memory: His son Frederick L. Jones of Tulsa, OK. Three daughters Angela Y. Mahone, Kimberly D. Monroe and Jennifer R. Scott of Los Angeles, CA. Two brothers: George E. (Vonzetta) Scott of Grandview, MO, and Drew A. (Julie) Scott of Dallas, TX; Two sisters: Stella (Chris) Watson, and Dorothy L. Cole both of Brinkley, AR. His grandchildren Michael Scott, Marlo Thompson Jr., Shay Thompson, Jessie Scott, Chaunthia Mahone, and Ashley Monroe of Los Angeles, CA. De'Andre Mahone, Rashad (Leslie) Scott, Wilika Fox, Frederick Wilson, Elijah Oakley, DeJuae Leathers, Shanayla and Malayah Caldwell all of Tulsa, OK. and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.

Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Moore's Eastlawn Chapel, 1908 S. Memorial Dr., Tulsa, OK 74112

Internment: 1:30 p.m., Thursday, June 6, 2024, Ft. Gibson National Cemetery, Ft. Gibson, OK
