Harry James (Jim) Davis, 77, passed away in peace on Tuesday, August 20th at his home in Langley, Oklahoma.
He is survived by his daughter, Jamie Mitchell and son-in-law Matt Mitchell, grandson, Rhett, granddaughter, Anna, sister, Kathleen Butters, and brother, Charles "Buff" Davis.
Jim was born on August 1, 1942 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Charles and Marguerite Davis. He attended Barnard Elementary and then Edison High School. He opened his first Pickles in his mid-twenties in Tulsa. Shortly thereafter he married and started a family, during which time he built houses in partnership with his father. Later, he went on to be a successful restaurant and bar owner for more than 30 years, owning Pickles Pub on 51st and Harvard, Grille 51 on 51st and Harvard, Pickles Pub on 51st and Sheridan, and Pickles at the Lake.
Jim adored his grandchildren and loved spending time with them at Rhett's baseball games, Anna's birthdays, and at Christmas. He loved to talk about his daughter Jamie, and was an incredibly proud father. While he was "Jimpa" to his grandkids, his friends knew him as Jimmy. He loved to play golf, cruise on his boat, and hang out with his buddies at Pickles Pub. He was a loyal friend, a fun-loving guy, and the life of the party. Everyone will remember his Money Honey performances and golf tournaments every year. He will be missed by so many.
