JOHNSTON, Jim, born August 8, 1941 in Tulsa, OK, passed away
Tuesday, April 8, 2014 in Tulsa, OK. Preceded in death by his beloved wife,
Mary Johnston July 28, 2011 after 28 years of marriage. Jim attended Cascia Hall,
St. Gregorys, Edison High School and University of Tulsa. Jim spent over
30 years in the funeral industry owning and eventually operating Riverside
Funeral Home in the late 80's in addition to his retail liquor business and several
real estate investments in Tulsa and Tulsa County.

At the onset of 9/11, Jim went to work for the U. S. Dept. of Homeland Security
retiring a final time in 2007. Jim was a U.S. Army veteran serving in active duty
and active reserves from 1960 to 1966. Active supporter of the Republican
National Committee and proud member of the NRA. He enjoyed his cross
country motorcycle trips and time spent at the gun range with his grandson, J. Paul.
Survived by daughter, Kelly Marley; grandsons, Sean Marley, and J. Paul McHenry; granddaughter, Jennifer Aldinger; also a special niece, Debbie Borland .
