James Starr, 53, of Claremore, OK, or "Jimi" as he was known to all, passed away, Monday, May 27, 2019. He was born on Saturday, May 7, 1966, in Claremore, OK, to James Plumlee and Mae Marie Starr. Jimi worked doing home repair in residential construction, loved riding his "Indian" motorbike, and listening to music. He is survived by his son, Damon Starr of Tulsa, OK; 2 daughters, Lila Starr of Tulsa, OK, and Cheyenne Starr and husband, Bryan Varnell of Claremore, OK; 2 grandchildren, Grayson and Savannah Varnell; 2 sisters, Denise Starr and Misty Bevenue; many nieces and nephews; and a lifetime of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Steven Starr. Jimi will be greatly missed in the days ahead, but his spirit and memories will live on within each of us, because we were privileged to have him in our lives.
