Jimmy (Woody) Dean Woodard was born on December 12, 1945 in Guthrie, Oklahoma to Alvin and Lela Warren Woodard. He passed away at Clarehouse in Tulsa, Oklahoma on July 18, 2015.
Jim was a 1963 graduate of Guthrie High School. He married Earleen Privette on May 30, 1965. The couple had two children, Cindy and Micah. They made their home in Owasso before divorcing. He was a longtime employee of McDonnell Douglas, eventually retiring from there in 1994. Jim met Carol Boles in 1989. The couple enjoyed many happy years together until her death in 2008. At the time of his death, he was engaged to Brenda Sherl.

Jim enjoyed tennis, coaching little league basketball, country dancing, horse racing, brothers' day, and his dog, Holly. He was an avid OU fan and enjoyed attending their football games.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents and Carol Boles. He is survived by his daughter Cindy Reidy and her husband Bryan of Rogers, Arkansas; son Micah Woodard and his wife Laurie of Tulsa; his much-loved grandchildren, Ashley, Stacy, Bradley, Sara, Sadie, and Summer. He is also survived by his brothers, Richard Woodard and wife EddieJoyce; Denny Woodard and wife Jane; and Billy Woodard and wife Josie; sisters, Joyce (Woodard) Majors and Jan Woodard; and fiancée, Brenda Sherl, along with numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 23, 2015, at Hayes Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Summit View Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home, Guthrie, Oklahoma.

Visitation will be held at Moore's Southlawn in Tulsa, on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Visitation will be held on Wednesday at Hayes Funeral Home in Guthrie from 9:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M.
