Jimmy Lynn Peterson
1958-2016

Jimmy Lynn Peterson was born on February 25th, 1958 in Woodland, California to James and Anna Peterson.

He went home to be with the Lord on February 4th, 2016 at age 57 at Siloam Springs Regional Medical in Siloam Springs, Ar., where he and his wife of 25 years, Christy Peterson, resided.

Jimmy grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He lived in Sacramento, California, Siloam Springs, Arkansas and traveled to many other cities and countries during his service in the U.S. Navy. He and his wife attended and were members at The Bridge Church in Bixby, Oklahoma.

Jimmy was outgoing, very social and he never met a stranger. Anyone who knew Jimmy knew that when he was around you were always guaranteed a laugh and no matter how happy or sad you might be, he always managed to get a smile out of you.

Jimmy had a deep love for art of all types, including music, drawing, painting, poetry and everything in between. He had a passion for playing guitar, singing and would not hesitate to perform on the spot for any crowd.

Jimmy and his wife spent many years in the choir at Grace Church in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Jimmy was a Praise and Worship Leader at The Bridge Church in Bixby, Ok.

Jimmy will forever be remembered for his kindness, compassion for people, love of animals, and his eccentric and energetic personality. He will be forever remembered and greatly missed.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his Mother and Father, James and Anna Peterson. He is survived by his Wife Christy, sisters, Edie and Tracy, four children, Christina, Melissa, Jeromy and Samantha and 18 Grandchildren.

The family invites you to The Viewing on Thursday February 11th, 2016 from 10am to 8pm at Moore's Memory Chapel and to join them, dressed in casual attire, to Celebrate Jimmy's Life at 10am on February 12th, 2016 at Moore's Memory Chapel 1403 South Peoria Ave. Tulsa, Oklahoma 74120. The Graveside Service will be at 1pm at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery 1423 Cemetery Road Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma 74434.
