Jo Ann Young was born June 7, 1929 in Osawatomie, Kansas and began her journey through eternity on March 18, 2018. She was preceded in death by parents Harold B. Grimes and Alice (Morris) Grimes of Osawatomie, KS; sister Peggy Evinger of Paola, KS and husband Max Young of Osawatomie and Tulsa. She is survived by her son Eric Young.

Jo Ann's first job was at the local picture show selling tickets and making popcorn.
After high school graduation, she went to work as Secretary to the School Superintendent.

She was married almost sixty years to the love of her life, Max.
Over the years she accompanied him up and down the pipeline throughout Iowa, Missouri and Oklahoma.

Jo Ann was a fifty-year member of P.E.O, a philanthropic organization dedicated to women's education. She was active in the Methodist church, a homemaker who baked the best pumpkin bread on earth and last original member of the Young Family Las Vegas Reunion club.

She liked to think happy thoughts. She loved angels, clowns, Benny the dog and her friends and family. Jo Ann will be dearly missed by all those who knew her.

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM, April 28 at Moore Eastlawn Chapel at 1908 South Memorial in Tulsa.
