Jo Ann Barron, 90, a resident of Tulsa, OK, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, October 19, 2020. She was born on Thursday, December 26, 1929, in Helena, Oklahoma, to John and Edith Liebrand. Jo Ann married the love of her life, Waldo Arthur Barron, on September 8, 1948, in Enid, OK, and they enjoyed 72 years of marriage, sharing a life filled with the love of family and friends, and service to their church and community.
Jo Ann raised four children who have wonderful memories of their mother. She was known as "MomMom" to her grandchildren and is remembered most fondly for her generous heart, her sweet spirit and her gracious love. There was always laughter at the dinner table when her family gathered at the Barron home for delicious meals and desserts. On Christmas Eve, she would often bake gooey cinnamon rolls, which always resulted in a family competition for the center rolls. She was most famous for her delicious pies with perfect crusts and would bake so many different kinds that each one could have their favorite.
She was gifted with a beautiful singing voice and grew up singing with her family. As an adult, she sang in the Community Christian Church Choir for several decades. She was a friend to many in the choir and always kept dear church friends until she passed. Jo Ann was a fine example of faithfulness to many.
Jo Ann is survived by her husband, Waldo, daughter, Cathy Cameron, husband, Dan and granddaughter, Kelly Cameron. Son, John Barron and grandson, Bryce Barron.
