Obituary
Joan Jack was born when the winter weather of March, 1931 was extremely cold. She arrived on March 29, 1931 to Ernest and Myrtle Stewart in Tulsa, OK.
Joan attended Tulsa Public Schools and graduated from Tulsa Central High School 1949. On October 3, 1958 Joan married the love of her life, Louis Lee Jack. Joan had two sons, Doug and Jim. While she and Louis enjoyed many years together he sadly passed away on February 5, 2008, life was never the same for her after his passing.
Joan enjoyed several different long term careers in her life. Joan started her career in the 1950's becoming an employee with ONG. During her tenure at ONG she met the love of her life, Louis Jack.
Joan next took a position that would be one of the most rewarding careers to her and that was of wife and mother. As her youngest son got older she was able to work for McArthur Elementary School part of the Tulsa Public School system. It allowed her to work outside the home but also be home with her son. She moved from the public school system to bookkeeping with The Blossom Shoppe. Joan would later join the City of Tulsa in the inspections department. There she met Barney Hale of Hale Plumbing. Barney offered her a bookkeeping position with his establishment. Hale Plumbing would be Joan's final employer and the job she retired from in 1984.
Joan was at St. Francis Hospital with her sons, Doug and Jim, by her side. Joan passed from her earthly life February 25, 2025 into her next life journey. The circle of life had been completed.
Joan was predeceased by her husband, Louis Lee Jack and her parents, Ernest and Myrtle Stewart.
Joan is survived by her sons: Doug (Cindy) Jack and Jim (Melissa) Jack and one grandson Jason jack and her beloved cousin, Barbra Jean and her trusty companion, Abbey, her dog.
Services will be March 3rd at 10:00am at Moore's Southlawn, 9350 E. 51st Street, Tulsa, OK 918-663-2233.
