Obituary

Joan Kelley passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2022.
Katherine Joan Clark Kelley was born in Richmond, Va., on July 13, 1932. She considered Baltimore, Md., as her hometown. While growing up, she also lived in Boston, New York, Chicago, and Fort Worth.
She was known to all that knew and loved her as Joan, Mom, Mommom or Aunt Joan.
Joan met James Kelley in Fort Worth, Texas, where they married on May 1st, 1952. Joan and James moved to Tulsa, Okla., when James was transferred by American Airlines.
Even though she grew up on the East Coast, she embraced being an "Oklahoman."
Joan was a highly decorated member of the Parent Teacher Association. She started as a parent member at Hoover Elementary in Tulsa. She moved up the ranks of the PTA to President of the Hoover PTA, Whitney PTA, Nathan Hale PTA, Regional PTA President, Oklahoma State PTA President, and held numerous positions in the National PTA.
Joan and James attended St. Patrick's Episcopal Church of Broken Arrow, Okla.
Joan was admired and loved by the members for the "Prayer Blankets" she would make for the members and friends of St. Patrick's.
Joan loved sewing, knitting, ceramics and crafting. She put love into every personal handmade item she created.
She loved her Boston Red Sox and her Dallas Cowboys.
Joan is survived by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren:

°Lacey Fryhover and fiancée Jake Morgan
•Lainey
°Mayson Fryhover
And numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Helen Clark; sister, Jean Jones, and brother, Harris Clark.
