PARKER, Joan K. was born May 3, 1933 to William and Evelyn Kopperud in Oak Park, IL. She joined her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, March 19, 2019.

Joan was a graduate of Purdue University. There, she met and married the love of her life, David M. Parker. They made their home in Independence, KS and raised three children. Joan was a member of the First United Lutheran Church of Oak Park, IL and then became a life-long, faithful member of First Presbyterian Church in Independence, KS. She blessed all in her home and community through her service, devotion and love. She had a full and beautiful life. We thank God for her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother and husband and is survived by her children Steve (Monica), Pam (Ed) and Lynn (John); four grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.
