Obituary
SMITH, Joan M., 86, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2017, in Tulsa, OK. Born September 24, 1930 in Hominy, OK, to Coleman Brian McGhee and Elizabeth Lucille (Lipe) McGhee. She was a retired Cosmetologist and former Cosmetology Instructor. She was a member and officer of the VFW Auxiliary for many years and took great pride in her work with disabled veterans at the Claremore Veterans' Hospital. Member of Grace Methodist Church.
Preceded in death by her parents, first husband; one sister, Betty Wilson; and one brother, Paul McGhee. Survived by husband, James D. Smith; son, Michael Montgomery; daughter-in-law, Rita Montgomery; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Her family was the light of her life.
Service will be 1:00 P.M., Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Grace Methodist Church, 519 S. 49th
