JoAnn Barone was born on March 20th, 1942 to parents Joseph and Anna Mildenberger. JoAnn was a native of the Chicago suburbs, however, she spent the lst 33 years living in Tulsa, OK.

JoAnn Barone, 78, passed away on 9/1/20, surrounded by her kids and wrapped in peace and love. JoAnn was beloved wife of the late William (widowed 1963) and John (widowed 1999); treasured sister of Lucille (Robert) Lavacchi; the wonderful, fiercely loyal and devoted Mother of Laura Simms-Donaldson (Clay), Barry Goldsten (Carol), Ritch Barone (Karen), Jennifer Towle (Perry), and Jill Barone (Crystal); Adored Nannie or Nana to: Matthew Simms (Ariana), Tyler Simms (Hailey), Alex Bollinger-Simms (Amber), Abby Simms (Garrett), Ava Goldstein, Jillian Barone, Kiefer Barone, Emma Towle & Lily Towle, Spencer Puckett; and, Great-Grandmother to: Sofia Simms and Dylan and Peyton Loftus. JoAnn was proceeded in death by her two older brothers, Edward and Ronald; and her Angel granddaughter Olivia Barone. JoAnn is also survived by an army of friends, nieces, nephews and other family scattered throughout the country.

JoAnn is also survived by her sweetheart, Vern Kremer. Vern and his family brought mom in as one of their own, and they shared many laughs and loving moments together. JoAnn and Vern shared these last 4-5 years together as loving and loyal companions, and they were fiercely protective of each other. We would like thank Vern, his daughters & their spouses, grandkids, etc. Every one of you that loved our mom, we thank you for enriching her life and providing a wonderful second family for her.

The following events will be held in JoAnn's memory at St Bernard of Clairvaux Catholic Church, located at 4001 E 101st: Street:

Rosary Mass -Thursday, 9/17/20, 7PM.
Memorial Mass - Friday, 9/18/20, 11AM.
