Whartenby, JoAnn Edith, 85 of Tulsa passed away Friday, May 17, 2013. She was born March 25, 1928 in Lanagan, MO to Elmer and Sylvia Bryant. She was an Avon representative, was in the Avon Presidents Club, an avid Bunco player, loved to sew and cook and was a member of Memorial Dr. United Methodist Church. Above and beyond all was her love for her husband Fred. Survived by husband of 61 years, Fred Whartenby, son Mark Whartenby and his wife Jamie of Tulsa, daughter Sheri Deason and her husband John of Tulsa, grandchildren Mattie Deason of Tulsa, Mollie Fore and her husband Corey of Tulsa, Wrex Whartenby of Edmond, Fred Whartenby and his wife Britany of Ada, Arlo Whartenby of Tulsa, great grandchildren Luke Deason of Tulsa, Gracie Blackwood of Tulsa, Dolly Whartenby of Ada, cousin Rose DePew of Joplin, Nellie Porter of Joplin and 1 great great grandson on the way.
