Joanna Du Dejarnette, 48, passed away in the early morning hours of September 27, 2022.
Joanna is survived by her children Danielle, Cera, Charlie, Corbin, her granddaughter Sophia, her mother Carolyn Edwards, her sisters Cindy Knull and Jill Harbor, her many nieces and nephews, and her partner and long-time dear friend, Philip Norman. She is preceded in death by her father, Jim DeJarnette.


Joanna was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on September 26, 1974, the baby of the family. She was fearless, fun, and giving. She loved to help people less fortunate and would give whatever she had to help anyone in need. She loved to work with her hands by taking something old and discarded and restoring it into something beautiful. She loved attending football games, outdoor events, concerts, and just being around people having a good time. Joanna loved to laugh; the sound of her laughter will ring in our hearts and minds forever. Joanna's smile would light up a room and would fill the darkest of days.




Joanna's heart was in helping people. She had previously been a manager at Habitat For Humanity Restore having completed their program herself and becoming a homeowner through Habitat. She had worked for Goodwill and was currently working as a social worker at Family and Children's services, a job that she loved and looked forward to doing every day. Joanna was a people person who was able to connect with those who struggled most in life. A true gift. Joanna truly loved her children and her many friends.


Joanna, you will be desperately missed and we will love you forever.


Viewing hours will be held at Moore Funeral Home Southlawn Chapel on Monday, October 3, 2022, from 10 am-8 pm with family present 6-8 pm.


The Funeral will be held at Moore Funeral Home Southlawn Chapel on October 4, 2022, at 2 pm, followed by a graveside service at Memorial Park, and reception.
