Joe Don Blevins, born January 1, 1957, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, passed away on May 26, 2025, surrounded by family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donnie Joe and Wanice Blevins.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Michelle with whom he would have celebrated 35 years of marriage this August; his son, Josh, and wife, Becca; his daughter, Cady and husband, Brenton; and his beloved grandchildren, Sage and Grayson. He cherished his family deeply. His children and grandchildren were truly his pride and joy, and he proudly celebrated their successes.
An only child and grandchild, Joe Don grew up spoiled but with that came a deep sense of responsibility. He became the steady hand everyone could count on: the fixer, the helper, the one who always showed up when it mattered most.
His wit, legendary antics, and magnetic personality made him the center of countless stories that will be shared for generations. He spent the majority of his career working in the heavy equipment field, serving local Caterpillar dealerships for several decades, where he was highly respected for his knowledge and dedication.
A proud Republican, Christian, and American, he found joy in the simple things he loved most - Oklahoma football, family trips to amusement parks, the loyal companionship of dogs, a good knife, the thrill of car racing, and above all, softball. He poured his heart into coaching his daughter's teams and later became his granddaughter's loudest and most devoted fan, never missing a moment to cheer her on. A lifelong dog lover, his care extended beyond his own pets - he was always the first to provide support to any dog in the family.
Joe Don leaves a legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty. His presence will be missed more than words can express, but the mark he left on those who knew him will never fade.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at Moore Southlawn Chapel, 9350 E. 51st Street, Tulsa, OK 74145. Reception to follow the service from 5:00 PM till 7:00 PM at Moore's Southlawn Family Center.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Sage's college fund. Joe Don was immensely proud of all she has accomplished and deeply wished to support her continued education and passion for playing softball at the collegiate level.
