Obituary
Joe Thurman Wilson passed away peacefully on September 8, 2016 surrounded by close friends and his family.
He was born June 2, 1930 to Dallas Dee "D. D." Wilson and Della Elizabeth Thrasher Wilson in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Joe or J. T. graduated from Central High School in 1950.
Joe was a Navy veteran serving during the Korean War on board the USS Juneau. After returning to Tulsa he worked for Public Service Company and owned The Texaco Service Station in Brookside. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Esther and two sons, Michael Keith, wife Marcia of Jakarta, Indonesia and Mark Alan, wife Lori of The Woodlands, Texas. Five grandchildren, Brandon Wilson, wife Laura; Brooke Greene, husband Patrick; Davis Wilson, Bailey Wilson and Reece Wilson.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Hospice.
Visitation will be 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. Sunday, September 11, 2016 at Moore's Southlawn Chapel. Service 10:00 A.M. Monday, September 12, 2015 at Moore's Southlawn Chapel, 9350 E. 51st Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Interment following at Floral Haven Cemetery.
