Born on October 25, 1936, in Cushing, OK, John was very passionate about his hobbies, which included collecting Native American artifacts that he either found searching river beds and known encampments or purchased at gun shows or flea markets, making arrows from river cane, sinew, willow, and turkey feathers just as the Native Americans did in the old days, collecting bows, fishing, and playing racquetball.
John was a union electrician by trade and a veteran of the U.S. Army. John was a gentle, soft spoken soul who will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty, to whom he was married to for 33 years. A true testament to the man he was, John cared for Betty the last 15 years of her life as she battled Alzheimer's. He is survived by his son, John Jr, his daughter-in-law Maggie, grandson Adam, granddaughter Maria, and brother Jim. Moore's Southlawn 918-663-2233
