John F. Blair, 89, of Tulsa, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2016. He was born October 29, 1926 in Ft. Scott, KS to Nixon and Eula Blair. He retired from the Newspaper Printing Corporation after 25 years and was a member of the "International Typographical Union". He served in the Army infantry during WWII, was a 32nd Degree Mason and Shriner. He enjoyed hunting, playing the guitar and was an avid fisherman. John is survived by his wife of 67 years, Lila Blair; 2 children, Jeff L. Blair and his wife Delba of Tulsa, Craig N. Blair and his wife Elizabeth of Glenpool; grandchildren, Meghan Blair, Ashley Blair and Paige Blair; 3 great grandchildren and his sister Mary Stoughton of Ft. Scott, KS. He was preceded in death by his parents and 6 siblings.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Friday, July 8, 2016 at Moore's Eastlawn Chapel, Tulsa, OK.
Memorial Service will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, July 10, 2016 at Yale Ave. Christian Church, Tulsa, OK.
Military Rites and Interment will be 1:30 PM, Monday, July 11, 2016 at Ft. Scott National Cemetery, Ft. Scott, KS.
