John Cleveland Carrens, or Cleveland as he was known to all, 84, Tulsa, OK, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 1977, at St. Francis Hospital, Tulsa, OK. He was born on Friday, January 27, 1893, in Coal County, Lehigh - Indian Territory, OK, to John Carrens and Ivy (Williams) Carrens. Cleveland was married to Cubin Ola Cherokee (Porter) Carrens, and was a retired postal worker. He is survived by his wife; 5 sons, Jerry Brauchman "J. B." Carrens and wife, Rosalie, Quincy Carrens, Shelly Carrens, Gerald Arthur Carrens and wife, Clara Jane of Beaumont, TX, and Robert Carrens; daughter, Wanda Batson; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 half brothers; 2 half sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents; and an infant child, Zaylon Carrens.
