Ellington, John B., 89 of Tulsa passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2013. He was born November 7, 1923 in Glencoe, OK to Chesney Dee and Esther May Ellington. He served his country in the navy during WWII, retired Philtower building manager and member of St. Mark?s United Methodist Church. He was a past Scout Leader for the Boy Scouts of America and enjoyed fishing and gardening. ?He will be remembered as quite the fisherman and that green thumb. No doubt the good Lord will make him the gardener for The Heavenly Arboretum.? Survived by: wife; of 66 years Irene Ellington of the home, daughter; Peggy Moreno and husband Mike, Plano, TX,
son Don Ellington and wife Teresa, Tulsa, grandchildren Jeffrey, Julie and Jennifer Moreno, Kayla, Karol and Katheryn Ellington, sisters; Carol Meissner and husband Louis, Stillwater, OK, Lois Sayre, Cleveland, OK, brother; Claude Ellington and wife Nola, Glencoe, OK. Preceded in death by sister Mary Stephens and brother Joe Ellington.
