John Louis Harper, 78, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 26th, 2024.


John was born on October 19, 1946, in Copperhill, Tennessee, to Robert and Flora Harper. He lived a full and rich life, marked by his passion for football, golf, dancing, working out, and spending time at the beach. More than anything, John cherished his family, and his love for them was the foundation of everything he did.


John was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Flora Harper, and his brothers, Robert and Steven. He is survived by his sisters Patsy Bethel, Barbara Owens, Francis Watkins, Margaret Edwards and Linda Sayne as well as his brother Larry Harper. He is also survived by his daughters Jennifer Wilburn and Johnna Cirone, and his five grandchildren: Lauren Morris, Stephanie Ledford, John Wilburn, Drew Kanwisher, and Brooks Kanwisher. Additionally, John is survived by his four great-grandchildren:
Hudson Morris, Addie Morris, Holland Ledford, and Harper Ledford.


A man of many interests and talents, John's vibrant personality touched the lives of everyone around him. Whether on the golf course, dancing with friends, or enjoying the sun and sand at the beach, John brought joy and laughter wherever he went. His dedication to family and his warm, welcoming nature left an indelible mark on all who knew him.


A Celebration of Life service will be held on January 18, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home, Southlawn Chapel, 9350 51st St, Tulsa, Oklahoma, 74145.
