John Helinski was born on May 5, 1958 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Harry and Ann Helinski, the 4th of 6 children. He worked for 28 years at Chandler Engineering in Tulsa, OK, where he worked his way up from Machinist to Shop Foreman and later worked in Manufacturing Engineering. He particularly enjoyed working for the founder, Mr. Chandler. It was at Chandler Engineering where John met his wife of 14 years, Ann (Warren) Welch.

John enjoyed playing chess and disc golf. He had a passion for guns and would attend the gun shows with his brother Robert, and would fish and hunt rabbits with his brothers David and Robert. He also loved to figure out how things worked or why they stopped working and spent many hours working on cars with his brother David and could pull a transmission in 15 minutes flat and install one in a little time longer.

After many years of illness, John died on November 26, 2017. John is survived by his Mother, Ann (Koczur) Helinski, of Oklahoma City, Ok; his brothers Rick (Sue) Helinski, of Broken Arrow, Ok and David (Sharon) Helinski, Broken Arrow, Ok; his sister Judy (Gary) Schellenger, of Oklahoma City, Ok; wife Ann (Warren) and stepson Daniel Welch, both of Tulsa, Ok., 6 nieces and 2 nephews, and great nieces and great nephews. John
was preceded in death by his Father Harry A. Helinski, his brother Robert Helinski, and his sister Lisa Phillips.

Visitation will be held, Friday, Dec 1, 5pm -7pm at Moore's Southlawn Chapel 9350 E 51 St Tulsa, OK. Funeral
Services will be held on Saturday, Dec 2, at 10am in the Calvary Cemetery Chapel 9101 S Harvard Ave Tulsa, OK. Interment immediately following.
