John Randolph Henley, 65, of Tulsa, OK, passed away on March 2, 2024.
John was born on Aug 15th, 1958 to Thomas William (Bill) Henley and Helen Jayne Henley. After graduating from Shawnee Mission East H.S. in KS, he went to receive his BS at the University of Kansas.
After graduating with a degree in Psychology, his career consisted of Retail Management, Water Treatment and Auto Sales.
In 2017, John married Kristy Ann Bateman. John had 2 sons, Jason Henley and Will Henley and 4 stepchildren, Katherine (Steven) Wolf, Nicky Bateman, Sterling Bateman, and Seth Bateman. He also had four grandchildren, Everett Wolf, Rebekah Wolf, Axel Bateman and Ezra Bateman.
In his younger days, John could be found in the driveway working on cars. He was very analytical and could repair or build just about anything. He was an excellent swimmer and swam on his HS swim team. Although strong-willed and determined, John enjoyed the peace the mountains and camping offered. His sense of adventure was unparalleled.
John is predeceased by his mother, Helen Jayne Henley. He is survived by his wife Kristy Henley, the 6 children, his grandchildren, father Bill Henley (Margaret), sister Jan Bowman, sister Karen Moore (Archie), and brother Ben Henley. As well, John's 4 nieces and nephews, Paul Bowman, Jack Curtis (Addie), Katie Miya (Jack) and Matt Curtis.
Services will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery on Monday, March 11, 2024 at 2:00 pm for family and close friends.
