JONES, John Robert, of Tulsa, age 84, passed away Friday, March 28, 2014. Born March 2, 1930 to Guy and Lola Jones. He attended Cherokee School in Turley where he met his wife of 62 years, Betty Jones, who passed away in 2008. John was a retiree with 22 years of service from American Airlines. His wife, Betty, was a retiree from Tulsa Public Schools.
He is survived by his daughter, Linda and her husband, Bobby, who cared for him and loved him with all their hearts, and he also resided with them for the past few years. His is also survived by his son, John Robert of Tulsa; his grandchildren, Angelina and John Jones, Jr.
(Lil' John); his brother, Gary Jones of Catoosa; his sister, Jane Brinlee of Ramona; and his life-long devoted friend, Eddie Morris of Tulsa also an American Airlines retiree.
John will now rest in peace with Betty; his daughter, Alice Ann; his sister, Charlene; his brothers, Thomas and Raymond.
