John Braxton Keith, 91, went to be with his Heavenly Father, on Friday, December 28, 2018, at his home in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with his family by his side. He was born in Wetumka, Alabama on November 3, 1927, to John R. Keith and Callie (McCain) Keith. John spent his grade school years in Alabama, and then graduated from high school in San Leandro, California. He was married to Jean Keith for over 30 years, when she went to be with the Lord. He then married Bobbi Keith, and spent 30 years with her, until the Lord also called her home. John was proud to have served in the United States Navy, and after retiring from the Navy, he also retired from General Electric. He enjoyed sports and was a softball umpire for many years. John loved the Lord, had a steadfast faith, and was a devoted member of Sheridan Christian Center, where he enjoyed attending various church activities. Raised during the depression, he was a kind, gentle, humble man, and had a generous spirit. John was charitable and donated his time and resources to many different charities. He leaves behind a legacy of caring and giving that affected many people. John loved spending time with his family and friends. He was proud of his family; especially, his grandchildren, and gave them unconditional love and encouragement. He is survived by his son, Kevin Keith of California; daughter, Gala Edwards and husband, John, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; 5 grandchildren; and a lifetime of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and wives. John will be greatly missed in the days ahead, but his spirit and memories will live on within each of us, because we were privileged to have him in our lives.
