John Allen Latta, 68, of Tulsa, died Friday, June 28th, 2019 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
He was a retired Sales Manager with Don Carlton Honda, Primeaux Kia and others.
He is survived by his wife, Tracy Latta; daughter, Sadie Martin; son-in-law, Devin Martin; sister, Linda Smith; and three grandchildren-- Olivia, Ashton, and Ashley James. He is preceded in death by his son, Gregory James, and his parents, Chester and Ruby Latta.
A music aficionado and avid fisherman, John was energetic and preferably busy. As a Tulsa-based drummer, he played with musicians like Eric Clapton, Steve Pryor, Pat Murray, Dan Humphrey, and many, many more. A great selection of his recorded songs can be found at

John's philosophy was straightforward-- help others, ask questions later. He was proud of his Irish roots, and even prouder of his children. But he leaves behind more than just his ancestry and progeny. He gave his family confidence, his friends joy, and the world a perfect example of how a man should live.
