John Wendell McKinney, 59, passed away on September 15, 2014. John graduated from Edison High School, and attended the University of Oklahoma. His career spanned many years in the construction supply industry at Independent Material Company.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wendell O. McKinney. A loving father, he leaves behind his two daughters, Christina Elyse McKinney and Brianne Elizabeth McKinney. He is also survived by his mother, JoAnn McKinney, his sister, Marsha McKinney Abney, his nephew, Eric Abney, and his aunt, LaVonne Smith.

John loved motorcycles, fishing, cars, traveling, and working with his hands. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to Tulsa Boys Home (tulsaboyshome.org).
