John Morgan Gurthet, 75, was born in Tulsa, OK on March 2, 1942 and passed away on January 2, 2018.
He was a 1960 graduate of Edison High School and later attended The University of Tulsa. At the age of 18 he joined the Army Reserves where he served his time as a medic.
His early career was in Hospital Housekeeping management. The last 30 years he was a salesman for Tucker Janitorial Supply and recently for All Maintenance Supply.

He is survived by his wife, son Chris Gurthet, brother David Gurthet (Lynne), brother in law Robert Beaver (Charlott), sister in law Paula Bradford, many precious nieces, nephews, cousins and his cute four-legged girl Abbey.
He dearly loved his Lord, his family, his friends and his church where he served in almost every capacity throughout his lifetime. One of his greatest joys was being known as the bass singer in his church's Praise Band and Ensemble.
He enjoyed gospel, big band and barbershop music, model railroading, ice hockey, St. Louis Cardinals baseball and sharing his never ending supply of jokes with everyone.
His memorial service will be at 2:00, Saturday, January 20th, at East Side Christian Church at 1438 S. Indianapolis in Tulsa, OK 74112.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in his memory to the East Side Christian Church Food Pantry.
