John William Mozingo (87) of Tulsa, Oklahoma peacefully passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023, from natural causes.

John lived his life to the fullest and will be missed and remembered by the many lives he touched. His family knows he is now fishing at his favorite spot and swing dancing with all the ladies. John, we are grieving the loss of you but at the same time, so happy that you are home with Doris and in no pain. We will always love and miss you until we can meet again.

John was born in Plumerville, Arkansas on October 20, 1935 and was the only child born to Lonnie and Mary Mozingo. He moved to Tulsa, OK in the early 50's and 1961, met Doris Jean Hogan at Cotton's Restaurant and the rest is history. John and Doris were married on January 5, 1962 and went on to have one daughter, Marci Mozingo Mayfield.

John worked for many years at 20th Century Manufacturing and Supply and retired from Wonder Bread after 18 years of service in November of 1997. He spent his retirement, fishing, working on cars, and swing dancing.

John is preceded in death by his wife Doris, and his parents Lonnie Mozingo and Mary Savage Mozingo Jones.

John is survived by his daughter Marci Mayfield (Scott); his grandchildren Jon Little (Lorie), Bryant Little (Kathryn), Brittany Lambert (Brandon), Caity Little, Justin Mayfield (Cassie), Autumn Mayfield (Issac Williams) and Hunter Little; great-grandchildren Emma, Octavian, Kilee, Jaxson, Aven, Ellie, Johnny, Ande, Grayson, and Laney; along with many loving cousins and other family and caring friends.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at 10:00 am at Moore Funeral Home, Southlawn Chapel (9350 E. 51st St, Tulsa, OK). Pastor Kent House will be officiating the service. The graveside service will be held at Floral Haven Cemetery (6500 S. 129th E. Ave.)
