TAYLOR, John E., Jr., 94, passed away Monday, August 7, 2017 in Tulsa, OK. Born May 25, 1923 in Oklahoma City, OK to John Edward Taylor, Sr. and Alta Rosetta (May) Taylor. He was a retired American Airlines mechanic. An Army Air Corps Veteran, he was a top turret gunner and flight engineer on a B24 Bomber during WWII stationed in New Guinea. He was an active member of the 43rd Bomb group: Kensmen.com where he entered all of his crew members to the Honoree page and posted his journal from his time in the service. WWII, 10-man B24 Bomber Crew, South Pacific Campaign, 5th Air Force, 43rd Bomb Group, 64th Squadron. He donated a DVD and DVD player to a time capsule that was interred for the 75th anniversary and will be opened in 2091. He was an avid gardener.

Preceded in death by his wife of sixty-two years Bobbie Fox Taylor ,also his parents, six sisters and three great grandchildren. He is survived by his daughters, Tonita Ann Taylor of McLoud, OK, and Vickie Jo Taylor of Chelsea, OK; six granddaughters, Angela Kimberly Ross, Lynnda Crystina Trevathan, Terresa Anne Ellison, Audrey Lynn Baker, Christie Lee Smith, and Ashley Dawn Jones; fifteen great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 5-7PM, Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Moore's Southlawn, 9350 E. 51st, Tulsa, OK. Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M., Friday, August 11, 2017 at Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel, 5111 S. Memorial, Tulsa, OK. Moore's Southlawn 918-663-2233
