Johnnie Kuykendall, 90, of Tulsa, OK, died September 30, 2020 in his home.

Johnnie was born July 16, 1930, to his parents, Dora and Losa Kuykendall.

Johnnie grew up in Oklahoma with his parents and big sister, Flossie. After his formal schooling, Johnnie worked to help support his family. As a young man, Johnnie joined the Army where he served as a Private First Class, supervising bridge construction as a Construction Foreman.

After leaving the Army, Johnnie met his beloved wife, Nellie. Through their marriage, Johnnie became a father to his daughter, Linda. Two years later, the couple welcomed their daughter, Dora. The family spent time in Missouri and Oklahoma during Johnnie's 60 year career at
BS & B Safety Systems.

Johnnie was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, gardening and beekeeping. Johnnie enjoyed bowling, bingo, and winning money at the casino.

Johnnie enjoyed spending time with his family and was proud to be a husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

Johnnie is survived by his daughter, Dora (Jamie), granddaughter, Gidget (Genevieve), and great grandson, John Henry or "Little John," as he called him. Johnnie was preceded in death by his parents, Dora and Losa Kuykendall; his sister, Flossie (Manuel), his wife, Nellie, and his daughter, Linda.

Visitation will be 2-4 PM, Sunday, October 4, 2020 and Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, October 5, 2020, both a Moore's Southlawn Chapel, 9350 E. 51st, Tulsa, OK. Moore's Southlawn 918-663-2233
