Obituary
Jon Charles Petree, 30, of Broken Arrow, OK, passed away on August 20, 1977 at 2:08 a.m. at Franklin Memorial Hospital, Broken Arrow, OK, of heart disease. He was born on Wednesday, March 5, 1947, in Tulsa, OK, to John Charles Petree and Colleen Mildred (Schmeling) Petree. Jon was proud to have served as a Specialist Technician Fourth Grade in the United States Army in the Vietnam War. He was married to Nancy Lee (Ridenhour) Petree, and was Vice President of Phillips Production Co. He is survived by his mother; wife; daughter, Jennifer Colleen Petree, of the home; brother, Bill Petree of Broken Arrow, OK; sister, Laura Hall and husband, Dennis of Tulsa, OK; maternal grandfather, William F. Schmeling of Fort Worth, TX; maternal grandmother, Bertha Schmeling of Tulsa, OK; and a lifetime of friends. He was preceded in death by his father, John Charles Petree.
