Obituary

After living his life for the Lord, Lloyd went to be with his Heavenly Father on February 5, 2021. Lloyd was loved and adored by all who had the opportunity to know him. He was truly beautiful inside and out. His compassion and care were only outweighed by the love that he had for his family. Lloyd was the epitome of a devoted family man. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. The purity of his soul could light up the darkest of darks and he spread that light as abundantly as was possible.

Lloyd was born in Hermleigh, Texas on July 18, 1934. He graduated high school in 1952. Lloyd's passion was to brighten the day of all those that he met. He fulfilled this passion by working in retail. He was a cashier for Safeway/Furrs in Pecos, Tx for 40+ years. He then moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma where he continued his service with Sam's Club as a door greeter. It was impossible to meet him without smiling and he took great pride in how successful he was in bringing smiles to people's faces.

Lloyd married the love of his life, Lottie, and they stayed married until she passed in 2004. He never remarried. The apple of his eye are his three daughters that were the result of his lifelong marriage. His three angels are Connie Rogers, Cynthia "Cindy" Orona, and Denise Dykes. After the passing of his wife, he leaned on his daughters and they answered the call. The best and most comfortable years of his life were spent while living with Cindy where they had many a good times with just their company and when they would have family gatherings.

Lloyd's main passion and purpose in life was his family. He is preceded in death by his parents ("Papa" and Edna Scott), his siblings (JC Scott and Betty Stewart), and his wife (Lottie Scott). Lloyd is survived by his three daughters (Connie Rogers, Cynthia "Cindy" Orona, and Denise Dykes), his grandchildren (Chris Sanders, Jason Sanders, Sean Sanders, Fernando Orona, Jessica Orona, Savanna Orona-Acosta, Ashley Jinks, and Amber Davis), his nieces (Penny and Robin), and his great-grandchildren (Jasmine Acosta, Mikaela Orona, Mackenzie Orona, McKenna Orona, and Amory Jinks). His patience, love, and compassion that he passed on to his family will be his never-ending legacy.

For final respects the viewing is Friday, 2/12/2021, at Moore Funeral Home. The memorial service will be on Saturday, 2/13/2021, for selected love ones, due to COVID restrictions, at St. Mary's Chapel.

In lieu of flowers and due to Covid19 restrictions the family requests that donations be sent to Shriners Hospital for Children.
