A beloved mother, wife, and friend, Josefa C. James, passed away on July 5th, 2023. Josefa was born on December 12th, 1936 in San Marcos, Veracruz in Mexico. She was blessed to share her life with three wonderful, Godly husbands, and devoted her life to her children, her grandchildren, and most importantly to Jesus Christ.
Jo knew and treasured the Bible and loved her church, where she taught the women's Sunday School class for over 30 years. She was also interested in history and politics, and was proud to become a U.S. Citizen in 1990. Jo was a business owner and master seamstress and enjoyed using her skills to bless and encourage others.
Jo loved and cared for people from all walks of life. She was the center of her extended family and loved staying in contact with family and friends, both near and far. Jo lived an exemplary life and looked forward to meeting her Savior and hearing "Well done, good and faithful servant." She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Josefa is survived by: her husband, Norman James; her sisters Alia and Arcelia (Chela); her three children, Frank Richardson, Gisele Richardson, and Christina Lang; her five grandchildren, Sophia, Johnathan, Olivia, Celia, and Lola; and many nieces and nephews. Jo is preceded in death by: her parents, Juan Castellanos and Reyna Lima; her husbands, William Richardson, and Harold Caylor; her brothers Juan, Raul, Francisco (Paco), and Abel; and her sister Ariola.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Woodland Acres Baptist Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Saturday, July 15th at 11:00am
