Joseph "Steve" Alley was born on February 23, 1946, to Joseph and Lucille Alley. Steve went home to heaven after a long illness on October 22, 2022. He was a native Tulsan and proud of it! He graduated from Edison High School in 1964. After graduation he enlisted in the Army Reserves where he served until April of 1970. Steve went to TU one semester in 1965, then transferred to ORU as a Business major 2nd semester and graduated with the Alpha class in 1969. During his years at ORU he was on scholarship to play baseball.

After graduating from ORU he worked on the stock exchange, became a broker. He then joined Living Sound as business manager. His fondest memories were of trips to Poland carrying mail and candy to the teams.

Steve was always involved in business and investments; but his heart was for ministry. He loved the Lord and he loved people.

Steve was preceded in death by his father Joseph White Alley and mother Lucille Frances Alley. He is survived by his wife Gwen Avery Alley; daughter Andrea and husband Justin Brackitt; sisters Patience "Pann" Alley; Ruth Alley Armstrong and husband Brian; niece Katie Jo Harding and husband Dan; and great-niece Lakelynn Ivy; and numerous beloved cousins.

Visitation will be held 2PM -5PM on Sunday, October 30, 2022 at Moore's Southlawn Chapel and a memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 31, 2022, at First Methodist Church, 1115 S. Boulder Ave., Tulsa, OK. A private family graveside service will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
