Joseph Grant Hirsch
December 4, 1949 - July 1, 2017
Tulsa, Oklahoma - Joseph Grant Hirsch, 67 passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at home. He leaves his wife of 34 years, Nancy Denise Hirsch; children Jennifer Allison Hirsch-Mann, Loretta Mae Hirsch, Joseph Grant Hirsch II and Jamison William Hirsch; seven siblings; and seven grandchildren.
Joe was born in Altoona, PA on December 4, 1949 and was raised throughout the states of Michigan and Indiana. After graduating from Fremont Indiana High School in 1967 he attended Oklahoma State University, graduating in 1974 with a bachelor's degree in Political Science. He was an active member in the Oklahoma State University Alumni Association, and loved to travel to Stillwater for the OSU athletic games and homecoming celebrations.
Joe was a devoted Mennonite Brethren, often volunteering for international food ministries and tithing to the Mennonite Central Committee. He believed strongly in community and civil service working with Volunteer Legal Services and was the Vice President for Burning Tree Home Owners Association.
Joe enjoyed traveling to historical landmarks, bird watch and gardening, but his most passionate pleasure in life was his family. Above all else Joe was devoted to the care and unity of his family. Always having kindness, respect and patience for those around him Joe's heart was a reflection of God's love for his children.
Please Join us on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Moore Funeral Home - Southlawn Chapel, 9350 E 51st, Tulsa, OK, as we lay our loving husband, father, grandfather and cherished friend to rest; celebrating all the beautiful blessings we shared together with Joseph Grant Hirsch.
